How Seiton Paw maintains travel requirements
Where your checklist comes from, how it gets corrected, and what we can and cannot promise.
1. Sources we use
Decisions that depend on the exact route - such as whether a rabies antibody (titer) test is needed, or which health certificate applies - are made by a rules engine. Each rule records the official source it is based on, for example the European Commission's pet-movement rules or Japan's Animal Quarantine Service.
Each origin-to-destination route also has a stored checklist. Every checklist is labeled by how it was made: prepared by our team, reviewed by an admin, or researched automatically by AI from public web sources.
If no reviewed checklist exists for your route yet, we build an AI-researched draft so you can start planning. Trips on a draft-only route stay in draft status until an admin reviews that route.
2. How rules are reviewed
Admins review and correct route checklists. A route is reviewed when it is flagged as possibly out of date, when a customer reports a problem, or when our team updates it.
When an admin corrects a route, the open tasks on active trips for that route are updated. Tasks you already completed stay completed.
3. What triggers an update
- An automated comparison of a stored checklist with official sources finds a possible difference. This only flags the route for an admin - it never changes your checklist by itself.
- A customer reports a requirement or deadline that looks wrong.
- Our team changes a rule in the rules engine. Each change gets a new rule-set version.
4. How changes affect saved trips
Your trip plan records the rule-set version it was built with. If the rules for your route change later, My Trip shows what changed - added, removed or re-timed requirements - and you decide when to refresh the plan.
When an admin correction adds a requirement to your route, we send an in-app and email notification if rule-change alerts are on in Settings.
5. What Pawlo can and cannot guarantee
Seiton Paw is a planning tool. We are not a government agency and we are not affiliated with one.
We cannot guarantee entry. Authorities and airlines can change their rules, and they make the final decision at the border and at check-in. Pawlo is an AI assistant and can make mistakes.
Before you travel, confirm the requirements with the official authority for your destination and with your airline.
6. How to report a suspected error
If a requirement, deadline or Pawlo answer looks wrong, report it before acting on it. You can open Help → Report a problem, ask Pawlo to talk to a person, or email support@seitonpaw.com with your route and what looks wrong.
