We use the minimum number of cookies needed to make Seiton Paw work. No advertising. No third-party tracking. No surprises. Here's exactly what we use and why.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser that helps a website remember information about you — like whether you're logged in, or what language you prefer. Cookies don't contain your password or payment information.
Cookies we use
Essential cookies — always on
sp-session and sp-user: these keep you logged into your account. Without them, you'd have to log in every time you navigate to a new page. These cannot be disabled — the app doesn't function without them. They expire when you close your browser or after 30 days of inactivity.
Functional cookies — on by default
sp-language stores your language preference (English or Spanish) so you don't have to select it every visit. sp-theme stores any UI preferences you've set. Both are stored locally and never sent to third parties. You can disable these in Settings → Data & Privacy — but doing so means your preferences won't be remembered between sessions.
Analytics cookies — on by default, fully anonymized
We use a privacy-respecting, first-party analytics tool to understand how people use Seiton Paw — which pages are visited most, where users drop off, how long sessions last. This data is aggregate and anonymous. We cannot identify individual users from it. No fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking. You can disable analytics cookies in Settings → Data & Privacy.
Advertising cookies — none, ever
We do not run ads. We do not use advertising cookies. We do not work with ad networks or data brokers. This will not change.
Third-party cookies
We do not load third-party scripts that set their own cookies — no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no Hotjar. The only cookies in your browser from Seiton Paw are the ones listed above, set by us.
How to manage cookies
In Seiton Paw
Go to Settings → Data & Privacy to disable functional and analytics cookies. Essential cookies cannot be disabled without breaking the app.
In your browser
Every major browser allows you to view, block, or delete cookies. Search 'manage cookies' followed by your browser name for instructions. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from staying logged in.
Changes to this policy
If we ever add a new type of cookie, we'll update this page and notify you by email before the change takes effect. We will never introduce advertising or tracking cookies without explicit notice.
